Had the coolest Halloween possible this year.
John Carpenter is one of my all-time favorites, both in movies and music. During the pandemic, I created a few post-apocalyptic themed playlists to pair with the feeling I got from jogging through the eerily empty streets, along the blocks of boarded up storefronts of downtown Washington, DC. Songs John Carpenter's scores and first few Lost Themes albums featured heavily (along with tracks from the Judge Dredd remake, It Follows, and Mandy, among others).
When I saw that he was playing at the Belasco on Halloween, I immediately put together a trip to Los Angeles.
