Time Theft rips.

This set is my first attempt at capturing still photographs from a show with an anamorphic lens. My thought/hope was that I could get more of the band in the shot without more of the ceiling and floor or the distortion of a wide angle or fisheye. The trade off, the monkey's paw curse, of the more cinematic aspect ratio (2.36:1 in these bad boys), is that the image is so horizontally compressed and distorted in-camera that I don't know if the image was in focus until after it's offloaded from the camera and manually processed through two different applications (Lightroom to color grade the raw file, then to Photoshop as a .tif to desqueeze). Also the focal plane is so narrow when it's wide open, like razor thin. Anyway, I still like these slightly out of focus shots.
