This was one of those rare transcendent live sets. When the first song ended, it seemed like everyone around me turned to one-another to mouth "Holy shit" through the amplifier feedback or give some version of that Jack Nicholson "Yessss" meme head-nod. Happened after each song after that, too. It would've been great if more people could been there to experience it, but I'm thankful I was able to make some pictures. As mentioned in the Mary Mortem post, the kaleidoscope effect on some of these pictures was made with a rotatable lens filter. The grain and light bleed come from a (gold) diffusion filter. I don't like to spend time editing, and prefer the restriction of doing all the weird shit in-camera, in the moment.
