The Dillinger Escape Plan
The camera used here, a Holga, is the most plastic, piece of shit camera you can throw money down the toilet at. But the results can be gorgeous, as evidenced by my Magnolia Electric Co. and other Holga sets. It’s common for the camera to come apart while in use, if you don’t take extra precaution to customize it. For a while, I would duct tape the seams after loading film. Ultimately I developed a latch system with sticky Velcro. This show was rowdy. I remember needing to get away from the pit as much as possible, the stage was the only place to go. For most of these photos, I’ve got one foot on the floor, one butt cheek on the stage, but I’m trying to be as small as possible to not be in the way. I love the results.
